It's been a few days since the weather has cooperated with us, and we've been forced to fish in sheltered areas all week. Although the fishing hasn't been bad, it also hasn't been on fire. We made it out to Montague today for a full day halibut trip and the sun was shining as well as flat seas. Although not a single bite at our first spot this morning we did however find some fish a little deeper. We pulled in 4 nice halibut ranging from 50lbs-70lbs. We were also able to hook into bunch of lingcod and yelloweye making it a pretty eventful afternoon. I tried a spot on the Island I haven't fished in a few years and was successful at limiting the boat out with a pile of nice halibut.
It looks like the weather this week is going to be great with variable 10kts of wind and flat seas. Big tides this week should push quite a bit of bait onto the shelves which is a major plus for halibut fishing.
Thanks again for choosing us! See you all next year. FISH ON!!!
